GovSG is a VOSB providing executive level consultants and programmatic support to Department of Defense (DoD) Information Technology (IT) initiatives and programs.

We provide expert consultation on a diverse range of IT subjects focusing on acquisition strategy, implementation activities, cloud computing, systems engineering, and Cyber Security policy and engineering.

We have an immediate opening for a Senior Systems Engineer to provide support to the Infrastructure Services portfolio within the Navy Program Executive Office - Digital and Enterprise Services, with a focus on data storage and storage area networks (SAN). This role requires engineering input for ongoing infrastructure projects and accreditation efforts, and recommendations on leading SAN storage technologies as they relate to the Naval Enterprise Network (NEN).

This position is hybrid working in the Washington D.C. metro area.

Position Duties:

• Manage system integrator implementation of hardware infrastructure in support of Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI).
• Collaborate between NMCI and other Programs of Record (PORs) to help define the next evolution of the NEN technical roadmap for storage and other cloud services.
• Manage datacenter storage and lifecycle for current equipment.
• Define roadmap for datacenter storage based on emerging technology.
• Collaborate with system integrator and other peer portfolios to enable additional services for future state of the NMCI storage design.
• Manage relationships with our integrator partners and provide support for escalated issues and special projects.
• Review all engineering related materials and provide necessary guidance and governance for the technical details of the project and sustainment activities.
• Provide leadership technical and business-related assessments for system level roadmaps.
• Provide guidance and support to peer program office portfolios for technical integration of data storage systems.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum SECRET clearance
• 10 years of specialized project management support experience with a Navy acquisition program or related/comparable project management support experience with Department of Defense (DOD) agencies. Bachelors degree and extensive deep knowledge and technical experience in related field is also acceptable.
• Experience in IT infrastructure solution design, planning, installation, operation, maintenance, and dispositioning.
• Candidate must possess datacenter storage engineering expertise.
• Experience with storage and SAN solutions: NetApp, Brocade, Veritas NetBackup.
• Experience with underlying storage and SAN technologies: FC, SMB, NFS, etc.
• Familiarity with virtualization and hyperconverged technologies.
• Experience with organizational change management and operations migration.
• Familiarity with AGILE methodologies.
• Demonstrated organizational, interpersonal, and verbal/written communications skills to work effectively across the program.
• Travel Requirements: Minimal

Desired Qualifications:

• Deep understanding of various storage architectures
• Ability to explain why one storage solution is better than another given specific scenarios
• Ability to design local and wide area storage solutions
• Masters in STEM preferred

Salary: $125,000-$138,000. Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer.
