KBR Optical Test Engineer in Chantilly, Virginia

Title:

Optical Test Engineer

KBR is looking for an Optical Test EngineerThe Optical hardware design and Acquisition experience to assist in the development and testing of a Satellite Optical payload. Optical Engineer Will supervise contractor design, performance testing, analysis, and verification. Participate in design reviews and advise the Government on performance, test, and design risks. Perform on a team that oversees all aspects of the design and build of the Optical mission payload. The Optical engineer will be required to provide expertise to the Government in the design, performance, and acquisition of a significant program. The job is in a new program office, working on a challenging schedule. Duties will also include supporting major milestones and testing events. Reviewing requirements and test documents. Reviewing the performance and testing results, then advising the Government on the success or failure of the test and design.

Min Qualifications: - Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with a CI polygraph- 14+ Years of relevant experience with a BS in Engineering, Scientific, or Technical discipline or 12+ Years of relevant experience with an MS in Engineering, Scientific, or Technical discipline or 9+ Years of relevant experience with a PhD in Engineering, Scientific, or Technical discipline.

Experience with the system design trade process, assessing system design options, analyzing mission requirements, monitoring system development, and test development/execution. Experience in the design and evaluation of Optical testing and HW design Experience with NRO mission programs and enterprise
