Primary Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge: Ability to perform complex Medical Assistant tasks including tests and treatments within the clinical scope. Able to coordinate the consensus needed to achieve the medical plan for the patient. Ability to demonstrate knowledge of and apply those to the job function and responsibilities

  • Skills: Good communication skills, excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills. Must possess computer skills, Windows based applications, and organization skills

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant school or 3+ years of experience in the military as a Medical Assistant or equivalent

  • BLS certification or must be able to complete certification within 30 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in an ambulatory care setting or has completed or is actively enrolled in the MA externship program

Working Conditions: Normal clinic environment. Ability to pass FIT testing and wear N95/N99 OSHA protective mask as deemed by OptumCare in the course of work at the clinic. Moderate to heavy phone and computer usage
