Gummi World General Manager (Nutraceuticals/ Vitamins/ Gummi) in Chandler, Arizona

This is a management position and requires hands-on responsibility and accountability for the daily manufacturing flow and bottom line results.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Directs/assign tasks through supervisors to employees and controls the flow of department activities.

  • Oversees and manages encapsulation and counting/inspection activities and processes of all three shifts.

  • Assigns responsibility for specified work or functional activities and assess policy to supervisors to rely on employees.

  • Gives work instructions, resolves problems, prepares schedules, and sets deadlines.

  • Develops a daily schedule for the production team and can adapt to any schedule changes.

  • Plans and directs the layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and workforce utilization.

  • Coordinates activities of the department with other departments to ensure efficiency and economy.

  • Prepare reports and records on department activities for Executive management.

  • Ensures the flow of materials, parts and assemblies between or within departments.

  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

  • Participate, collaborate, and comply with all company programs, policies, and practices.

  • Consults, participates, and collaborates with the Executive Management team on policies, procedures, rules, regulations, and practices related to safety, security, efficiency, cost effectiveness of production operations.

  • Adheres to quality standards and promotes quality within the department by motivating personnel to maintain and improve performance through goal setting and quality practices.

  • Troubleshoot problems as required and implement changes to maximize production yields and efficiencies.

  • Updates and develops new procedures of workflow.

  • Conducts annual reviews of the employees.

  • Completes other projects and tasks as assigned by the management/Executive management team.

  • Assists with maintaining and keeping all employees in compliance with the policies and practices. Follows and adheres to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP's), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), Standard Safety Practices at all times.

    Requirements/Qualifications:

  • 5 + years in manufacturing management for Confectionary, Food, Pharmaceutical, Dietary, or a related industry.

  • Possess extensive FDA regulatory knowledge

  • Leadership skills – experience in leading a high performing manufacturing team in a fast paced, regulated, distinct work environment.

  • Communication skills – Ability to clearly communicate, both verbally and in writing.

  • Problem Solver – Ability to apply critical and creative thinking to improving processes and meeting challenges.

  • Cost Conscious – Ability to identify and implement cost reduction initiatives taking into account impact on quality, safety and other key supply chain drivers.

  • Supply Chain/Business Acumen – Understands and manages implications of new processes and innovations.

  • Change Agent - Respectfully challenges status quo to improve processes.

  • Supply chain management: 5 years (Preferred)
