Responsibilities

Job Summary:

Responsible for administrative support to the Cardiac Catheterization Services for Chandler Regional Medical Center. Takes calls and works holidays as assigned. Floats between Chandler and Mercy as scheduled.

Performs routine assignments independently, consistently prioritizes when completing assignments.

  • Compiles data, documentation, and distributes scheduled and requested reports.

  • Prepares out-going communications and related material for department as requested from verbal direction or from knowledge of system policy or procedures. Ensures that written communication is clear, grammatically correct, proofread and approved and prior to final distribution

  • Coordinates, evaluates, and modifies schedules, conferences and meetings including distributing materials, transcribing minutes processing reimbursements, travel and lodging arrangements if necessary.

  • Establishes and accurately maintains files, database(s), and records on an ongoing basis for the department. Assists with coordination and maintenance of employee records for performance evaluations.

  • Active member of committee(s) or collaborative teams as required by duties.

  • Collaborates in planning and operating within Cath Lab budgetary expectations.

  • Ensures H&P, pertinent labs, x-rays, reports and authorizations are available prior to the arrival of a patient in the procedure room.

General and Customer Service

  • Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers making a positive first impression.

  • Responds to telephone inquiries quickly, appropriately and in a manner that addresses the needs of the caller. Transfers calls to appropriate point of contact when necessary.

  • Sorts, date stamps and distributes all incoming mail, faxes, emails, and printed materials for areas of responsibility. Makes arrangement for outgoing mail/ packages using appropiate services.Responsible for inventory, ordering and distribution of office, program, and hospitality supplies.

Qualifications

Experience:

Minimum of one-year of secretarial support experience

Preferred- previous experience with hospital scheduling and currently used billing software

Education:

HS diploma or GED

Certification:

Current American Heart Association BLS

Pay Range

$22.95 - $33.28 /hour
