SUMMARY: The Account Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining existing accounts by providing accurate quotes and processing parts orders while ensuring compliance with customer requirements. This multifaceted position requires a basic working knowledge of machinery or a willingness to learn, coupled with an understanding of parts replacement frequencies. This role focuses on optimizing part stock levels to facilitate seamless internal servicing and meeting customer supply demands without significant delays. Additionally, the Account Manager is responsible for meticulous record-keeping of order details, part numbers, inventory levels, specific parts being ordered and supporting their internal build schedules to ensure delivery on time as agreed with the customer.

 *ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: *

Serve as the account manager for existing accounts, fostering strong client relationships.

Understand shipping and receiving procedures to streamline processes.

Engage in miscellaneous tasks to contribute to departmental efficiency.

Scheduling machine and other internal and external resources to meet customer demands.

Utilize Epicor fluently for efficient workflow.

Provide exemplary customer service, ensuring client satisfaction.

Follow up on delayed sales orders, entering sales orders and quotes as needed.

Assist with shipping and pulling parts when necessary.

Ordering material to print requirements and monitoring lead-time to satisfy customer releases and due dates.

Issuing purchase orders for outside services per part specifications.

Work with multiple outside services to track the progress to committed delivery dates.

Interfacing with shop floor associates to assure the production schedule is understood and executed as planned.

Work with the customer on a weekly basis to make changes required per their production schedule.

Quality Control to ensure all specifications and certifications are received and checked to customer requirements.

Maintain a weekly planning document that can be shared with the customer as needed to assure part delivery meets requirements.

Ensure traceable documentation of customer discussions and commitments is maintained.

Monitor and document both internal and external processes on a per part basis to provide visibility to customer due dates and assure traceability.

Monitor releases to assure they agree with volumes and order quantities that supports agreed contract pricing.

Share and document updated prices with the customer should the contracted volumes and/or order quantities not meet agreed terms.

Reviewing weekly open order reports for schedule changes (sent by customers).

Adjusting schedule / quantities as needed.

Purchase Order Acceptance / Review

Reviewing Inventory levels

Submitting RFQs to material suppliers and issuing POs for material.

Communicating with outside service and material vendors for updates.
