Job Description

We are adding a Detector Test Technician to the team! The Detector Test Technician is responsible for supporting and sustaining production activities in electro-optical performance testing and characterization of infrared and visible semiconductor detectors at cryogenic temperatures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The primary duties and responsibilities are as follows. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Prepare test setup and support detector production testing (I-V, spectral response, and other special tests) according to test requirements, work instructions and test procedures.

  • Work with test engineers to understand and set up test conditions, data acquisition and device performance data.

  • Contribute to test setup optimization, fixture improvements and new test capability development.

  • Work with Manufacturing Execution System (MES) for logging and data recording.

  • Maintain test equipment in good operating condition and in calibration.

Qualifications & Competencies

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following desired qualifications and competencies:

  • Basic understanding of electrical testing of semiconductor devices

  • Experience in operating spectrometers, I-V scanners, amplifiers, cryogenic dewar and vacuum pumps

  • Good organizational and communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Basic computer proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)

  • Exemplary ethics and business conduct and work cognizant of safe work practices.

  • Ability and desire to work in a team environment.

Education and Experiences

  • High School Diploma with minimum of three years of electrical testing experience or associate degree with minimum one year of experience.

Citizenship Requirements

Due to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a U.S. Citizen.

Salary Range:

$41,800.00-$55,880.000

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
