Location: 850 76th Street S.W. - Byron Center, Michigan 49315 Job Description: Position Summary: This role is responsible to direct the development and conversion of new business opportunities within the grocery channel and other potential food channels by creating lead generation strategies and effectively collaborating across the company and organization. Leads the competitive assessments, success measures and effective pipeline management to enhance lead qualification and positive sales outcomes. Here's what you'll do: * Direct business development team to implement best-in-class lead qualification processes and measurable initiatives across the country that will drive new business pipeline and profitable sales revenue. * Work closely with the sales team to achieve pipeline, new business and revenue and profitability goals; manage forecast and drive tight adherence to lead qualification service level agreements (e.g., # of active leads in the pipeline). * Develop lead generation strategy and processes tailored to our current and new customer base that are in line with our companies strategic vision. * Manage and revise sales materials, processed and all new business enabling collateral (e.g., pitchbooks). * Have a clear understanding of SpartanNash competitive advantage and value proposition. * Maintain accuracy and integrity of sales pipeline, sequencing and forecasts. * Oversee initial account setup (e.g., MDM). * Partner with the marketing, sales, and creative teams to ensure marketing efforts are tightly linked to lead qualification and positive sales outcomes. * Collaborate with internal business leaders and their functional organizations as needed (merchandising, marketing, sales, sales operations, supply chain, etc.) to effectively plan and execute go-to-market strategies with potential and secured new customers. * Recruit, hire, and onboard high-performing business development talent. * Build performance culture within new business development, including performance management, feedback & coaching. * Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed. Here's what you'll need: * Bachelor's Degree (Required) Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Ten years combined experience in any of the following: Supply Chain Management, Business Management, and Finance/Accounting. * Five years of supervisory experience. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills; excellent customer service skills with interpersonal and presentation skills. * Ability to manage strategic sales initiatives and to influence and build relationships with people across all the levels of the organization, both internally and externally. * Strong financial, analytical, organization, time management and prioritization skills. * Strong leadership, negotiation, decision making and business acumen skills. * Demonstrated understanding of industry and industry trends. * Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word). * Ability to travel up to 50%.
