Position Title: Administrative Director- Southwest Ambulatory Surgery Center

Highlights:

  • Trinity Health Grand Rapids and Southwest ASC are currently recruiting a Director for our Southwest Surgical Center (SWSC) a multi-specialty, state of the art, outpatient surgical center located in Bryon Center, Michigan.

  • The Director will report to the SW ASC Board of Directors and will be responsible for the overall strategic plan development, growth and recruitment of surgical partners, clinical quality, and operational performance of the surgical center.

  • 4 operating rooms

  • Approximately 2,400 – 2,600 cases per year

  • Types of Cases: Ortho, Plastic, Hand, ENT, General Surgery, Podiatry

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree health care field or business required

  • Preferred: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Michigan; Current BCLS and ACLS certification preferred

  • Extensive (3-5 years) clinical and managerial competence in an ASC setting with significant exposure to business operations

  • Prior experience with survey preparation from approved accreditation associations (i.e. The Joint Commission (TJC), or AAAHC)

What you will do:

  • Fulfills the mission, goals, and objectives of the ASC and implements directives of the Operations Committee and Board of Managers.

  • Works closely with the Medical Director and the Anesthesia Medical Director.Accountable to provide a full compliment of management responsibilities including—strategic planning, human resources management, financial accountability, quality assessment/improvement, regulatory compliance, and productivity management.

  • Actively markets to potential referral sources, surgeons, and other customers.

  • Develop strategic and tactical plans (with physicians/leadership/employees) for the ASC that support the mission and strategic plans of the organization as well as promote growth.

  • Develop operational structure for the clinical and business office areas including the development of position descriptions, policies/procedures, and committee structures.

  • Provides oversight for human resources management including the development of policies/procedures. Ensure compliance with state and federal employment regulations.

  • Secures physician and employee involvement and accountability in achieving specific operational and clinical outcomes.

  • Promotes the continuous assessment and improvement of the quality of care and services according to normative standards of excellence and practice.
