Pay Rate:

$22.00+/Year (commensurate with experience)

Overview:

The Microbiology Lab Assistant assists the Microbiology Lab Supervisor in supervising a departmental staff that conducts testing on cosmetics and ensures the reliability, timeliness, and accuracy of the results.

Schedule:

Monday – Friday, 2nd/Swing: 2:00 - 10:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Microbiology Lab Supervisor with administrative/clerical duties, including but not limited to preparing and reviewing reports, scanning documents, filing, project organization, logging and tracking correspondence, maintaining calendars for scheduled meetings/calls, emailing, etc.

• Data entry and calculation for reports and COA’s.

• Assist in ordering lab supplies per the Microbiology Lab Supervisor’s direction.

• Assist in maintaining laboratory documentation.

• Assist with reviewing and responding to email correspondence.

• Communicate with customers by answering questions/emails and technical review under the direction of the Microbiology Lab Supervisor.

• Assist with special projects as needed.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must have a bachelor’s degree, science/STEM field preferred.

• At minimum, 2 or more years of Administrative Assistant experience.

• Experience in Microbiological testing in the cosmetic, nutritional or pharmaceutical industries is preferred.

• Able to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.

• Able to adapt to changes to improve company process.
