Walt Disney Studios Marketing is a dynamic, results-driven marketing team responsible for positioning films released by Disney/20th Century (live action), Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, Lucasfilm, Marvel Studios, and studio branded titles on Disney+. This organization oversees the Studios’ global marketing strategy encompassing creative, media, digital, international, promotions, publicity, research, special events, and synergy, and handles some the most valuable film brands and franchises of all time.

The Specialist is an exciting opportunity within a newly formed team on Studios Marketing and will support the two Senior Managers, Media on several cross-functional projects. The Specialist will be responsible for data entry and analysis, working with internal and external teams, and adhering to project timelines. The Specialist must have outstanding interpersonal skills to develop strong working relationships with media agency leads, PR, Research & Analytics, and other marketing team members/executives.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Senior Managers and VP to oversee project timelines, status updates, and action items

  • Responsible for data management, which includes requesting, cleaning, and verifying reporting across multiple sources

  • Review and analyze large sets of data to compile into digestible insights for leadership team

  • Track planned and actualized media delivery across all titles to monitor pacing and benefits for Upfront deals

  • Stay on top of industry updates to understand and monitor the competitive landscape

  • Facilitate communications and ad hoc requests from internal Synergy, Publicity, Promotions and Research teams

  • Partner with Accounting, Finance and Media teams to process invoices for projects that are planned and paid internally

  • Prepare media expenditure reports on an as needed basis (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually)

  • Provide design recommendations and create necessary materials for media team’s selected presentations (i.e. Keynote, PowerPoint)

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing or related field or equivalent years of experience

  • 3+ years experience in Media or Advertising

  • 2+ years of experience in Microsoft Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) to include advance Excel functions (VLOOKUP's, SUMIF) and Apple Keynote

  • Experience interacting with multiple levels of leadership within an organization

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced abilities in creating presentations in PowerPoint/Keynote

  • Ability to handle large Microsoft Excel data sets

  • Exposure to direct-to-consumer or entertainment businesses

The hiring range for this position in California is $63,300 to $81,800 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
