Are you looking for a Seasonal Opportunity with Aqua, PA a subsidiary of Essential Utilities? We are currently hiring for a full-time season Environmental Compliance Aide, from May through August. Work schedules are up to 40 hours per week.

In this role, the primary responsibilities are assisting an environmental sampling effort by reviewing and updating system plans, identifying sites for voluntary requests to collect samples, delivering sample kits to customers, and working with Aqua's compliance and sampling team. This position must be able to interact with the public in a professional and courteous manner.

Essential Duties:

Coordinate seasonal Lead and Copper Rule (LCR) Sampling effort with assistance from Aqua compliance team

Responsible for becoming familiar with USEPA LCR rule and following guidelines and procedures as needed

Review maps and GIS data to locate potential new sites. Provide updates as needed to Aqua's compliance team as needed to update Aqua LCR sampling site plan.

Review and establish sampling schedules

Contact customers and verify willingness to participate in Aqua's LCR sampling program

Delivery and collection of sample kits to Aqua customers

Track daily sample collection through Aqua's work order system or other method as defined by Aqua's compliance manager

Adheres to all safety and security operating policies, procedures, practices, and standards to ensure a safe working environment

Participate in daily/weekly coordination calls

Assists with other tastes or projects as assigned

Pay Rate $15.00

Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years old

Must have a valid driver's license

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Familiarity with computers and work systems such as Microsoft office suite

Excellent written and verbal communications skills; communicate effectively (clearly, concisely, and professionally) with customers and internal staff.

Excellent customer service skills

Ability to work independently and a team player and to complete daily activities according to work schedules

Must always follow directions and safety procedures

Ability to work outdoors for extended periods of time, weather permitting

A team player, able to work effectively in a team fostered multi-tasking environment

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

May be subject to extreme temperatures, noise, wet and/or humid conditions, mechanical, electrical, gas exposure hazards, fumes, dusts, and mists

Working conditions include travel to work sites of Aqua, PA.
