Learn more at www.cretexmedical.com Position summary: The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will be focused on product development in the New Product Development (NPD) team. They will be responsible for providing engineering guidance and project team support for the design, development, and optimization of products, processes, tooling and/or equipment. This position will also provide leadership within NPD projects and be able to provide technical direction, incorporate DFM and assembly principles. Responsibilities Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Research, design, and prototype new products based on customer specifications.
  • Initiate and complete technical activities leading to new or improved processes or design for manufacturability for current and next generation programs and to meet strategic goals and objectives of the company.
  • Be the key contact for customer projects and work with a team to accomplish customer required activities.
  • Specify and develop tests for product testing.
  • Analyze and solve problems from basic engineering principles, theories, and concepts through to a wide range of complex and advanced problems.
  • Apply principles of Customer Focused Quality in daily activities in order to meet and exceed internal and external customer requirements
  • Utilize Product knowledge in Neuro and CRM fields to design and develop robust engineering solutions to internal and customer requests.
  • Provide leadership for projects within function
  • Perform research, design, and development of required equipment purchases to be able to develop product or meet internal goals of the organization.
  • Create, maintain, and approve device routers and bill of materials
  • Designs coordinate fabrication and implementation of process fixturing or gauging
  • Analyze and map processes, assesses efficiency, and implements complex project activities
  • Oversee equipment installation, modification, training, and preventative maintenance development
  • Identify, select, and provide justification for capital equipment
  • Subject matter expert in multiple areas for manufacturing engineering
  • Technical expert within the community
  • Mentor and provide guidance to Manufacturing Engineer I, III, III, and Engineering Technicians
  • Participate in customer visits, key contact for customer projects
  • Research and coordinate new technologies for the business
  • Support and comply with the company Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements
  • Partner with other business segments: sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance
  • Participate in required company meetings
  • Maintain an organized work area (5S)
  • Participate in the Operational Excellence Program
  • Complete all other work duties as assigned
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment

Qualifications Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or other Engineering Science
  • 7 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing setting; including state of the art manufacturing technology/concepts and cost reductions
  • Product knowledge in the Neuro and CRM fields
  • Demonstrated engineering field of expertise such as mechanical, electrical, biomaterials, etc.
  • Manufacturing process design and validation
  • Manufacturing equipment and fixture/gauge design
  • Lean manufacturing training skills
  • Ability to solve a wide range of moderately complex engineering problems in creative and practical ways
  • Manage projects of moderate complexity
  • Manufacturing automation, including electronic visual inspection
  • 3D CAD software (i.e. ProE, Unigraphics, Solidworks, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • High level of energy, personal accountability and integrity
  • Detail oriented; checks own work, keeps accurate records, organizes information effectively
  • Ability to tolerate ambiguity, multiple priorities and short deadlines

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Master's Degree in an Engineering discipline
  • Continuing Education; including participation in local chapters, associations, and/or organizations
