The Brooklyn Center Community School (BCCS) District is seeking a Special Education Elementary Resource Teacher to join our team! BCCS is looking for positive, energetic applicants with a deep commitment and passion to support students. This position is a special ed resource teacher position that focuses on due process components. The position is hybrid, with the option to work remotely up to 40% of the FTE. This position will conduct evaluations for the special education team and will write initial and annual IEPs. Candidate must have solid knowledge and experience completing various components of evaluations for all disability areas, knowledge of MN special education criteria and the evaluation process including Functional Behavior Assessments; knowledge of how to write IEPs and Behavior Support Plans; knowledge of due process procedures; ability to work with a team; well organized with an ability to plan and prioritize workload, self -motivated and excellent oral and written communication skills.
