Right at Home of Central, MI is looking to hire a part-time After Hours On- Call Coordinator in our Brighton Office for our elderly and disabled adult clients in Oakland, Livingston, Ingham, and Shiawassee counties.

Job Description - After Hours Coordinator:

  • Receives after hours telephone calls taking inquiries and requests or messages using good telephone technique.
  • Schedule or fill shifts resulting from call-offs or no shows.
  • Must be able to fill shifts if no other personnel is available.
  • Takes initial homecare information per company policy securing all needed information.
  • Under the direction of the Supervisor or Administrator, schedules after hours open shifts with appropriate associates, making all follow through calls necessary to produce an effective, smooth flowing schedule.
  • Forwards after hours' calls of a clinical or emergent nature to the Supervisor or Administrator.
  • Maintains a written log of all telephone communications.
  • Gives verbal report to the office by at least 9:00 a.m. the next business day regarding on-call activities.
  • Attends appropriate office meetings.
  • Performs other duties assigned by the Supervisor.

Additional (non-essential) Desired Functions

  • Assist in other general clerical duties.
  • Fill in as in-office coordinator in emergency situations.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A SENIOR CAREGIVER / HOME HEALTH AIDE

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to pass an extensive background check and drug screening
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Reliable transportation with valid registration and up-to-date auto insurance
  • Basic computer skills and organizational abilities. Good telephone skills.
  • Knowledge of common medical terminology.
  • Experience with scheduling/staffing preferred. Interpersonal relations abilities.
  • Read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job.
  • Must be available for work outside of normal office hours.

Any previous caregiving or CNA experience is a plus but not required. Having a current TB and/or CPR certification is a plus. Do you have good interpersonal and communication skills? Working Conditions/Environment
