Gateway Community Action Partnership Lead Construction Monitor in Bridgeton, New Jersey

The Lead Construction Monitor will oversee lead hazard control work under the NJDCA Lead Remediation and Abatement Program grant. The Lead Construction Monitor will be responsible for the coordination and management of processes that provide lead hazard control, healthy homes and ancillary renovation and repair.

This position will work closely with Lead Program Manager and the Managing Director of Isles Inc. to advance the production goals of this project.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Participate in the implementation of lead program strategies, project development, and budget monitoring * Outreach and Marketing to obtain lead applications * Monitor progress towards achieving goals and objectives * Work with program partners to maintain professional relationships * Coordinate and oversee lead risk assessments, lead hazard control work and lead clearances * Performing lead swab testing to determine presence of lead based paint * Giving Head Intake Specialist information on unit and resident (Field File) * Create work scopes from Lead Risk Assessments and visual inspection of units * Coordinate and manage all aspects of subcontractor activities -- estimates, project requisition, contracting, project initiation, oversight and project completion/closeout * Supervise and monitor construction processes (on site), ensuring high quality work and compliance with HUD, and NJDCA lead rules and regulations * Completion of documentation and entering information into HESWAP database * Maintain positive relationship with customers and community * Track participant data/folders, unit progress and compliance with project budgets * Participate in marketing lead program to the community * Working with Senior and Intake Specialist on HESWAP database system * Attend required conferences and training sessions * Travel Percentage up to 50% The preceding examples are representative of the assignments performed by this position and are not intended to be all-inclusive.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: * Must attend required conferences and training sessions * Must attend County Health dept meetings regarding Lead-Safe Meetings

QUALIFICATIONS: * High School diploma, with minimum five years experience in lead safe remediation/abatement, construction, home renovation or related fields * Three plus years work experience in project and construction management * Proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) * Valid NJ Drivers License in good standing * Ability to maintain State Central Registry (SCR) clearance and fingerprint clearance throughout the duration of employment * Ability to use office equipment * Customer service and telephone skills
