Commonwealth Care Alliance Senior Manager, IT Quality Assurance (Remote) in Boston, Massachusetts

Why This Role is Important to Us:

The Senior Manager, IT Quality Assurance is part of the Business Solutions team responsible for QA testing, product management and solutions delivery. This role is the primary owner for the QA Managed Services program and will be critical in the definition and implementation of our Enterprise QA program to supports CCA's ability to serve our business and scale IT best practices.

In this role, you will join a collaborative team that operates at a fast pace to solve problems and build a better future for our members and IT organization.

Supervision Exercised:

  • No, this position does not have employee direct reports.

  • Position will manage vendors and outsourced business partners that will entail much of the traditional day-to-day that is provided for FTEs. Future supervision of FTEs are anticipated as the CCA testing organization expands.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Participate in strategic and operational program/project planning to understand and manage the QA scope/resource needs for the organization.

  • Establish and oversee quality assurance processes within CCA by defining a comprehensive Enterprise QA strategy aligned with CCA's overall business and technical objectives.

  • Provide ongoing leadership and guidance to the QA services team ensuring that training, mentoring is being met to SLAs.

  • Acts as QA Managed Servies owner and manages the on/offboarding process for QA team, ensures that SLAs are being met and is fiduciary responsible for QA contracts.

  • Oversee the definition and management of test data management and test environment processes to address conflicts between different domains and teams.

  • Define and track metrics for assessing quality within the CCA team, preparing and presenting reports on quality metrics to executive leadership as needed.

  • Manage the contract and procurement process for all QA vendors/resources.

  • Define CCA's automated testing strategy, including use of best-in-class tools.

  • Build CCA's strategy around the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) powered tools to create test cases, run tests, analyze results automatically, and improve test case quality.

  • Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement, assessing and enhancing QA processes for increased efficiency and effectiveness.

Working Conditions:

  • Standard office conditions.

What We're Looking For:

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or relative work experience

Desired Education:

  • Master's degree in computer science, Healthcare, Data Science, Business Administration

  • Certifications: SAFe Agilist; Scrum Alliance CSPO or CSM

Required Experience:

  • 10+ years working knowledge and application of the Agile development, SDLC, and QA methodologies with a demonstrable knowledge of QA methodologies (Smoke, Functional, Integration, Regression, Black box, White box, Load testing).

  • 10+ years leading a testing team of cross functional client and contracted resources across geographical locations

  • Experience with Automated Testing applications and previously have worked with or have exposure to performance and automation testing.

  • Experience working with outsourced testing vendors, managing contract negotiations and scoping QA project needs.

Desired Experience:

  • Health Care payer industry experience
