Job Description

Responsible for oversight of operational processes for the Funds. The Fund Operations Analyst has individual responsibilities cross departmental projects in certain areas of expertise such as Private Equity fund cash oversight, fund events (launches, mergers, liquidations), collateral management, FX, line of credit securities lending. The Analyst shares relationship management responsibilities for a variety of external service providers. These service providers typically provide a subset of the services needed by the pooled investment vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely and accurate settlement of all 3rd party transactions while collaborating with Custodians, internal Private Equity Groups and external clients to monitor the closing of the deals from the start to end process

  • Track and continuously update funding log calendar to ensure information is most current and up to date

  • Process weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly cash transfers such as expenses, tax withholding payments, interest payments, management fees in a timely manner per contractual agreements with the borrower and custodian.

  • Perform implementation of standard processes to safeguard the organization to any potential liabilities when such debt & equity transactions take place within the department.

  • Reconciliation of transactions with bank statements of the custodian accounts including inflows and outflows of capital calls and distributions.

  • Oversee the operations and daily exception research associated with liquidity resources (lines of credit, interfund lending), custodian and sub-adviser cash management, collateral management and sources of Lines of Credit

  • Create and review routine reports and/or ad-hoc reports as back up support for internal or external parties

  • Act as department relationship contact for a subset of the Funds’ service providers. Vendors include sub-advisers, custodian banks, transfer agents, line of credit providers, and securities lending agents

  • Assist Manager in resolving pending open issues

  • Assist with requirements for onboarding and decommissioning fund structure, risk controls, work assignments procedures, cross training, and operational improvements to improve efficiency

  • Project manage high risk initiatives and programs related to fund operations, technology implementations, vendor RFPs, onboarding/offboarding vendors, and research of industry trends / regulatory topics

  • Independently lead efforts to work in tight deadlines, with involvement in problem resolution and timely investigations with various external and/or internal counterparties.

  • Oversee the documentation of team procedures and workflows while validating clear and concise documentation is generated and maintained as such practices and workflows evolve over time.

  • Play a role in actively supporting new product and application initiatives to steam-line processes to ultimately avoid manual workflows.

  • Support internal and external audits of funds and team processes which includes providing support and documentation of our cash activity and current processes.

  • Prioritizing and reprioritizing work deliverables and projects for internal clients based on changing business needs (deadlines, costs, scope of projects)

  • Day to Day operational decision-making authority using judgment based on skills and knowledge already developed

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent work experience

  • 5 - 7 years of increasing responsibility in the Fund Accounting/Fund Administration industry.

  • Standout colleague.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Fund operations systems and the Alternative Investments industry – Private Equity Funds.

  • Strong Adhoc/Project Management skills.

  • Expected to follow procedures and policies when performing tasks assigned to Analysts. Analyst is expected to research identified and/or potential issues and make decisions regarding partner concern to a Manager within the team.

The annual base salary for this role is listed below.

Salary range is expected to be between

$58,875.00 USD - $98,125.00 USD
