Micron Technology, Inc. has an opening for Semiconductor Process Engineer in Boise, ID. Job Duties: Responsible for monitoring the health of their assigned processes, ensuring high-quality output, and providing proactive redundancy plans for bottlenecks that could impact Fab cycle time (CT) or turns. Follow-up on safety and quality related issues immediately and work towards resolution with stakeholders. Ensure proper tool documentation/reaction mechanisms exist for shift teams. Maintain a constant improvement program for defect reduction / yield improvement. Resolve tool process issues and maximize tool output. Gather input for area improvement. Partner with HVMs in data collection, gap analysis, and improvement implementation as part of Benchmarking and transfer activities. Identify and communicate issues on yield loss, excursions, defects, tool restrictions, or output loss. Coordinate with Process Development Engineering, Process Integration, and Shift Ops on process issues and changes. Ensure existing process holds are minimized. Write and modify recipes to enable efficient tool processing and experimentation. Analyze data to make critical decisions and drive cost reduction activities. Resolve CT/capacity related issues in the area (redundancy, target reduction, sample plans, RPT issues, etc.). Monitor equipment usage and production efficiency to ensure max output and turns. Provide QDR documentation and proactive follow-up on issues. Respond to chronic SPC performance issues by driving to fix root cause. Provide troubleshooting support for complex process problems and address root causes. Plan for required capacity and product mix by ensuring equipment is capable of running variance as projected. May telecommute part-time.

Requirements: Employer will accept a Master\'s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering or related field followed by 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a Semiconductor Material Engineering related occupation.
