The Saint Alphonsus Medical Group is now hiring for a collaborative and experienced Provider Financial Analyst II supporting the physician compensation area within the Physician/Provider Contracts Team!

Position Summary & Highlights :

  • As the Provider Financial Analyst II you will be responsible for accurately paying providers employed by the Saint Alphonsus Health System.

  • You will oversee and support administration of various provider compensation plans, ensuring compliance with Saint Alphonsus policies, procedures, and guidelines.

  • This role works closely with: practice administration and clinic managers to ensure accurate labor reporting and production calculations; Legal for proper interpretation of contracts; and, Accounting and Payroll departments for variable payment processing and accurate reporting.

What You Will Do :

  • You will review physician contracts and amendments for administrative feasibility and also maintain the web-based provider compensation system to ensure that payments stay compliant with the contractual terms, SAMG Policy, and Stark Law.

  • Work with medical group to budget provider compensation appropriately among variable components (wRVU incentive compensation, quality compensation, etc.).

  • Provide maintenance and oversight of web-based compensation system, including regular auditing and reconciliation. Guide future development and enhancements to the system. Educate providers on meaningful user capabilities.

  • Perform regular analysis of complex compensation calculations including wRVU incentive forecasting, pooled wRVU incentive models, clinical quality compensation, value-based metrics, etc.

  • Perform and report compensation activities including analysis such as modeling, reconciliation, and forecasting; provides general consultation to leadership and physicians regarding the same.

  • Perform robust financial analysis on physicians' practices and make sound, data-driven recommendations to senior leadership on fiscal viability of a contract renewals.

  • Generate and maintain compensation reports, loan repayment and forgiveness records, and repayment obligations.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert and consult with providers and all levels of leadership throughout the organization on provider compensation policies, practices, and applicable federal regulations (Stark, anti-kickback, etc.).

You will also have a great deal of visibility and interaction with high level leaders and physicians. You will also have the opportunity to learn about medical group operations and will have the ability to grow and develop a variety of skills.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Must possess knowledge normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s degree in business or healthcare related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or other related field preferred.

  • Five (5) years minimum experience, preferably in a health care setting, with background in accounting, finance, or provider compensation.
