Trinity Health Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Maternal Fetal Medicine - 1.00 FTE in Boise, Idaho

Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a 500+ provider multi-specialty group practice that has an excellent opportunity for a Maternal Fetal Medicine Advanced Practice Provider to join Maternal Fetal Medicine practice.

Labor and Delivery (L&D) Rounds are multidisciplinary in nature and attended by MFM, OB Hospitalists, L&D unit coordinator, L&D Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, nurses, pharmacists, social worker, case manager and often both nursing and pharmacy students. The Maternal Fetal Medicine APP would participate in L&D morning rounds and management of hospital antepartum patients.

The Maternal-Fetal Medicine APP will provide obstetric care to prenatal patients throughout pregnancy and including the postpartum visit as follows:

  • Perform FHR assessment, NST interpretation, pelvic exams for antepartum and labor assessment.

  • Initiate plan of care/diagnostic testing/interpretation of labs/treatment plan based on the individual patient medical/surgical history prescribing necessary treatment and services for quality patient care; report progress to collaborating physician and maintain record of each patient’s progress.

  • Provide patient education relating to pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum care.

  • Performance of FHR assessment and NST interpretation

Support: Level III+ NICU provides 24 hr. comprehensive specialty care for premature and high-risk infants delivered at SARMC or transported to SARMC NICU, as well as the sickest of full-term infants. On-site Pediatric Surgery & Pediatric Gastroenterology, 24 hr. Anesthesia, Radiology and Emergency Medicine coverage. On-campus OB/GYN clinic with 18 providers and community network of employed and allied primary & specialty care clinics. Viewpoint Perinatal Ultrasound Reporting System and EPIC EHR.

Requirements :

  • Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner medical license in Idaho;

  • Valid controlled substance registration with Idaho Board of Pharmacy and DEA
