As a Software Development Engineer at Micron you will configure, develop, maintain and support Micron and third party applications. You will create and analyze software specifications, and research, design, document, modify, and support software throughout the development life cycle. You can demonstrate the functional and technical skills necessary to switch between development technologies and merge them to deliver the best solution. You have a proven ability to create quality software and participate in quality improvement efforts. We are looking for a dedicated, driven, diligent software engineer to join our Information Technology team and help us build world class Legal capabilities. This is a crucial role in improving efficiency, organization, and communication across the Legal department in Micron. You will enable acceleration of the Legal systems that drive our multi-billion-dollar business. Working in this area, you will have the opportunity to research and design technical solutions to critical business challenges and you will design, develop and lead implementation of software solutions using standard development tools and other in-house software frameworks using a broad set of technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive high business value projects by designing, coordinating, and implementing enterprise Legal solutions

  • Independently lead and successfully deliver project engagements through build, test and solutions deployment

  • Manage the development lifecycle to ensure the delivery of highly secure solutions that are optimized for performance and built to scale

  • Conceptualize and design plans and roadmaps that define and prioritize key projects that will deliver business results

  • Perform highest level solution alternative analysis to support decision making for a given solution or domain

  • Perform requirements analysis, technical solution design, data analysis and migration and integration, designing and implementing solutions in accordance to standard methodologies

  • Implement and enhance third party solutions by working with vendors and determine how to integrate solutions into the current business environment

  • Support problem customer concern and resolution to address software issues with compliance, litigation, immigration, contracts and agreements, patent development, and technology licensing.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise software implementations

  • 3+ years experience as a technical solution architect or software developer in Legal systems, specifically for solutions that support one of the following areas: contract-lifecycle management (CLM), e-discovery, global trade, governance, risk, and compliance (GRC), records management, or matter management

  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems independently

  • Experience with enterprise application integration capabilities

  • Deep understanding of Legal processes and best-known methods (BKM)

  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)

  • Candidates should possess excellent problem solving, analytical, and debugging skills

  • Ability to prioritize initiatives based on business criticality and technological complexity

  • Ability to research and gain knowledge about business and technological trends

  • Self-motivated and outcome oriented

  • Capability to build strong rapport with customer groups, including business stakeholders, solution vendors, and implementation partners

  • Ability to work independently with short deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to translate future-state business capabilities and requirements into solution architecture requirements

  • Deep experience with application lifecycle development (ALM) standards, processes and tools

  • Extensive experience working in a global team environment and maintaining healthy relationships

  • Experience in solution architecting integrations with ERP / middleware / 3rd Party applications

Education:

B.A. or B.S. degree in CIS/MIS or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
