Insight Global MacOS Desktop Technician in Bethesda, Maryland

Job Description

Responsibilities:

* Provide technical support for macOS-based desktops and laptops.

* Assist executives with hardware and software issues related to their Apple devices.

* Set up and configure workstations, ensuring they meet company standards.

* Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems promptly.

* Collaborate with other IT team members to maintain a smooth workflow.

* Document and track support requests, ensuring timely resolution.

* Assist with mobile device support (iOS) as needed.

* Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of Apple products and technologies.

Skills and Requirements

Qualifications:

* 2-3 years of experience in a desktop support role, preferably with a focus on macOS.

* Familiarity with Apple hardware, software, and troubleshooting techniques.

* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with executives.

* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

* A customer-focused mindset and a passion for providing exceptional service.

Education:

* GED with a minimum of 2-3 years' years demonstrated related work experience

* HDI institute certifications -- must get within 180 days

* ITIL Certified-- must get within 90 days

Other: Must be able to work flexible hours and multiple locations.

* Must have a comprehensive knowledge of generic IT hardware devices.

* Must have the ability to read and understand installation guides, wiring drawings, system requirements and site-specific installation policies/procedures.

* Must have excellent analytical skills in troubleshooting IT hardware installation, application setup, and maintenance, testing capabilities, problem identification, and/or resolution.

* Must understand how to configure IT hardware, and/or be able to communicate with engineering for directives on newer system's configuration. CompTIA+, CompTIA-Network+ and CompTIA- Server+ - are a plus

Apple certifications (such as Apple Certified Mac Technician or Apple Certified Support Professional). null
