Associate Director, Business Development - HEOR, & Market Access
Job Summary
OPEN Health’s Business Development team is looking to add an experienced team member to support growth efforts in the Evidence & Access (HEOR and Market Access) Practice. The role will be focused on business development within key accounts.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Owning the growth plan for assigned client accounts, considering client insight, OPEN Health’s commercial status, the existing business, and potential opportunities for expansion; sharing and discussing this with senior colleagues for their input and support on account strategy
Identifying key client decision makers (including procurement and budget holders) with an associated plan to engage to generate new leads, as well as drive opportunities and cross-sell through existing client relationships
Driving lead generation e.g. via conversations and relationships with existing clients, via proactive outreach activity, via conferences, maximizing marketing leads, and by working with the Demand Generation team
Converting leads to opportunities, initiating a consultative sell and bringing in and briefing subject matter experts at an appropriate point to contribute to this
Beginning to uncover the client need
Introducing OPEN Health’s associated capabilities and experts
Delivering capabilities presentations
Contributing to definition and qualification of the brief
Managing the opportunity triage process to ensure the most appropriate team is allocated to deliver the best response, in a timely manner
With support from Head of Business Development, E&A, overseeing opportunity conversion and contracting, bringing client insight and win strategies to proposal development to drive success
Working collaboratively across E&A and the wider OPEN Health teams
Identifying cross-sell opportunities for other OPEN Health Practices
Ensuring all leads and opportunities are accurately and appropriately tracked in the CRM
Experience, Skills, and Qualifications
BA, BS, MS., PhD., PharmD., MD, MPH, or relevant advanced education
Experience and success selling HEOR and Market Access services, with good insight into the needs of OPEN Health’s clients
Documented success in meeting and/or exceeding sales targets
Strong verbal & written communication and presentation skills
Good collaboration and partnership with key internal and external stakeholders
Highly organized and able to prioritize and multi-task
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook) and experience of effectively utilizing CRM platforms and other tools to support and inform business development planning, targeting and success
Travel Requirements
- 10-20% potential travel, including internationally
