Wage: dependent on the individual\'s experience, record of accomplishment and demonstrated skills range between \$19.00 to \$28.00 per hour. Hours: Mon-Fri 6 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Sat: 6 a.m. 10 a.m. (occasional depending on workload) *Times may vary* Overtime available and sometimes required. As a Machinist you will determine specifications for tools, fixtures, and calibration instruments by evaluating dimensions and materials reflected in blueprints. You will confer with production management to clarify requirements and resolve construction problems. Employee selects materials, special tooling, and raw materials to be used and lays out, determines dimensional allowances and sequence of operations to be followed in fabricating tools, fixtures, and instruments. You will perform complex machining operations involving compound angles and multiple set-ups using engine lathes, vertical mills, drill presses, CNC toolroom mills and surface grinders, to fabricate tools, dies, fixtures and instruments and finishes tools by fitting and grinding. The following are a few prerequisites we feel a candidate should have to be successful in this role. Responsibilities: Machining of piece parts per print Set up and operate all tool room equipment efficiently. Maintain work areas and tooling. Perform first off inspection of parts. High School Degree Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Must have experience: Machining Technology Mechanical Principles Advanced shop mathematics Machine set-up Ability to conceptualize and visualize operations to tools, dies, fixtures, and measuring instruments. Blueprint reading Troubleshooting/problem resolution Must be able to interact with all levels of internal customers including machinist and management.
