Amazon Program Manager II, Integrated Planning Solutions in Bellevue, Washington

Description

Amazon is seeking an adaptive, innovative, and technically skilled Integration Program Manager to develop and maintain Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), and other forms of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Design Technology software interfaces/ products that allow diverse stakeholders easy access and use specific functionalities of the product.

Integrated Planning Solutions (IPS) stands as a dynamic and innovative team within Amazon's Global Engineering Services (GES) organization, operating under the Engineering, Planning, and Analytics (EP&A) Organization. As Integrators, the IPS team plays a vital role in the entire lifecycle process of Amazon's fulfillment facilities. In addition, we develop solutions aimed at empowering various stakeholders to achieve smoother and more efficient operations within their respective areas of expertise. Our primary mission is to revolutionize the Planning and Design processes of Amazon's Fulfillment Centers by establishing Common Data Environments. Through our approach, we seamlessly translate and merge data from diverse sectors, culminating in a unified framework that facilitates seamless construction, maintenance, and analysis of Amazon's extensive Fulfillment Center portfolio.

IPS takes pride in building robust solutions that prioritize the security and integrity of Amazon's systems and data. Our customers span across departments, from finance teams seeking comprehensive investment insights to on-site Operation teams. By leveraging the latest technological advancements, including Reality Capture, AWS solution, we tackle challenges at Amazon's vast scale, employing automation and machine learning to reduce or eliminate manual effort. Through this, we empower our internal customers to elevate their performance and surpass expectations.

Key job responsibilities

  • Visual Storytelling and Wireframe Design: Work with leadership in design, planning and goal creation. Collect and engage in business requirements development - use cases, and high-level CX requirements.

  • Design architecture, interface, and interaction flow of services and experiences. Develop data structure and software visuals to transform complex data sets into meaningful and easily understandable concepts using the capabilities of the APIs. Create personas, customer journey maps, conceptual diagrams, wireframes, prototypes, and CX specs for engineers. Test your designs with customers and iterate based on feedback.

  • Gamified Customer Viewing Platform - Apply gamification principles to the customer viewer platforms, to enhance user engagement. Craft, pitch, and validate short and long term design strategies.

  • Packaged Solution and Collaboration - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, to ensure seamless integration of design elements and accurate data sources. Harness capabilities of APS and AWS to enhance collaboration, data management, and project coordination. Provide technical support customers.

  • KPI, customer service, and feedback mechanisms - create process and mechanisms for customer feedback that drive continuous solution improvement and updates. Provide technical guidance and support as needed for customers. Develop key performance index metrics to track critical markers of success.

A day in the life

As an Integration Engineer, you will have the opportunity to blend visual design with analytical data to create an interactive and gamified solutions.

You will work on building stable and efficient “Connector” that enables seamless integration for internal teams or customers. You will focus on designing APIs that reduces complexities and provides customer-friendly interfaces for easy adoption.

You will influence without authority, and collaborate with product, technical program, program managers, and software engineers for solution development.

This position requires deep customer focus and relationship building that will enable feedback for continuous improvement of solutions.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience

  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience

  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or related Field.

  • 4+ years experience in BIM, Autodesk Platforms and tools like REVIT, REVIT API, Tandem, Forge, Autodesk Platform Services, VDC or plugin development in the AEC Industry.

  • Strong digital design portfolio showcasing your ability to create visually appealing and engaging designs for digital platforms that effectively utilize APIs.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design concepts, ideas, and project requirement to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

  • Strong programming skills with proficiency in C# and .NET framework.

  • Experience designing 3D spatial interactions for AR/VR or games using tools like Unity, Unreal Engine etc.

  • Knowledge of UX and UI Design in construction industry.

  • Experience in application of machine learning tools and methods.

  • Experience working with AWS Services like IoT, SiteWise, Grafana, Aurora, DynamoDB, DocumentDB, S3, etc.

  • Deep understanding of cloud database, streaming technologies, public and hybrid platforms.

  • Leverage good coding/ scripting skills to automate tasks and improve workload analysis mechanisms.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $59,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
