PACCAR Embedded Engineering is a rapidly expanding organization that is transforming the way control systems and software are developed for commercial vehicle applications. This position will manage a team of Electrical/Electronic Architects, Hardware Engineers and Control System Owners focused on System Architecture for Autonomous Vehicle Platform Program. The successful candidate must coordinate Embedded Engineering product development across multiple concurrent development programs to meet program schedules and budget. The ideal candidate will be able to lead engineers to deliver critical program goals and continue to enhance PACCAR's global functional and system development processes. You will collaborate with an international, cross-functional team focused on driving superior technical solutions that maximize customer uptime and operating efficiency. Job Functions / Responsibilities Lead a team of engineers to decompose requirements specifications into product deliverables. Manage team deliverables across multiple projects and programs for all stages of product development (Definition, Concept, Engineering, and Verification/Validation), and adapt job responsibilities within the team to ensure successful completion. Supervise design and release of embedded architecture, systems, or software components to heavy commercial trucks Lead change management boards and other governance processes to maximize re-use of embedded systems or software components globally within PACCAR. Support deployment of ISO26262 and ASPiCE disciplines throughout PACCAR, and develop department processes to support wider corporate initiatives. Work with counterparts throughout PACCAR to provide a global approach to Embedded Engineering, and maintain corporate specifications where appropriate Develop and maintain department and program resource plans and budgets related to assigned development team. Provide written and verbal updates to PACCAR senior management on product development progress, program objectives, department strategic goals, or globally aligned roadmaps. Actively participate in scrum teams to develop industry-leading, high-quality, reliable electronic system designs, software, and architecture. Keep current with emerging industry trends in the field of automotive / commercial vehicle E/E systems, network architecture, and technology.
