McLaren Health Care Robotics Coordinator - McLaren Careers in Bay City, Michigan

Daily Work Times: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Shift: Days

Scheduled Bi-Weekly Hours: 80

Responsible for coordinating robotic surgical activity including but not limited to assuring availability of equipment, supplies; facilitating the throughput of cases, and coordinating with surgeons in order to maximize the efficient use of their time and their satisfaction with services provided to them and their patients.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Acts independently; consistently exercises discretion and judgment in performing work which is predominantly intellectual and varied in nature.

  • 2) Coordinates the onboarding of new surgeons in collaboration with the robotics vendor including:a. Identification and recruitment of new surgeons.b. Coordinates attainment of clinical development pathway requirements.c. Identifies case proctors as needed.d. Develops case cards and other support materials required for procedures.3) Coordinates development of new procedures including:a. Procurement of supplies and equipmentb. Development of case cards and other support materials needed for procedures.c. Development of staff training and materials in collaboration with the Surgical Nurse Educator.

  • Periodically reviews and optimizes supplies and equipment used in defined service lines.

  • Evaluates and makes recommendations regarding capital equipment needed to support expansion of services and/or procedure volume.

Required:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

  • Valid Michigan Registered Nurse License

  • ACLS within one year of hire/transfer

  • BLS issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross

  • CRNFA Certification must be obtained within twenty-four (24) months of hire/transfer date

  • Two years’ experience in surgical services

  • Extensive contact with patients, physicians, surgical services staff, and patient's families

Preferred:

  • Supervisory experience
