REQUIREMENTS: * Two years of experience in general clerical work preferably in law enforcement or legal environment. * Graduation from high school or the equivalent GED certificate; supplemented with courses in office procedures or law enforcement. * Any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience and training which ensures the ability to perform the work may substitute for the above. SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS: * Successful completion of the DPSST Basic Dispatch Academy, Police Department FTO program, LEDS Training Manual and the Emergency Medical Dispatch Course. * Pass background investigation. JOB SUMMARY: Performs a variety of radio communications for police, fire, and EMS units. Answers business and emergency telephone 9-1-1 calls and performs clerical and receptionist work in the operation of the Police Department. Performs related work as required.
