Robert Half Human Resources (HR) Manager in Baltimore, Maryland

Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Manager in Baltimore, Maryland! The HR Manager will play a crucial role in shaping and executing HR strategies that support our organization’s overall business objectives. This role includes ensuring adherence to legal requirements in human resource management, managing employee relations issues, and establishing performance management systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Craft and execute HR strategies and initiatives that support the organization’s business objectives, mission, vision, and values.

  • Ensure compliance with all legal requirements in human resource management.

  • Maintain precise employee records and verify data accuracy.

  • Resolve employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and terminations.

  • Design and implement performance management systems to ensure fair and consistent employee evaluations.

  • Partner with the Training Department to develop and deliver employee skills and competency training programs.

  • Offer guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related issues.

  • Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in human resource management.

  • Compile and analyze HR reports to inform decision-making processes.

  • Manage HR policies and procedures, including drafting new policies, reviewing existing ones, and recommending changes to the Executive Director and management team.

    Requirements

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a Human Resources management role

  • Expertise in using HRIS Systems

  • Proven experience in benefits administration, compensation management, compliance, and handling employee relations

  • Familiarity with standard HR policies and procedures

  • Experience with 360-degree feedback, benefits administration, change management, and compensation & benefits

  • In-depth knowledge of HR compliance, HR strategy, and HR policies

  • Solid understanding of labor laws and their application in HR practices

  • Experience conducting performance evaluations and implementing training and development programs

  • Capability to develop and implement effective company policies

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred

  • Professional HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP) is advantageous
