Description

We are seeking a dedicated, contract Finance Manager to join our client's team in BALTIMORE, Maryland. This role involves managing financial processes and systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and auditing financial data. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, contribute to our financial strategy, and drive our financial performance.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee daily operations of the accounting department, including Accounts Payable/Receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, and budgeting

• Develop and implement accounting software systems to optimize financial management practices

• Coordinate and complete annual audits, and provide recommendations for improving procedures and systems for initiating corrective actions

• Ensure compliance with all internal processes and financial regulations

• Develop and manage financial analyses and budgets to support organization's financial planning

• Utilize financial software systems such as ADP - Financial Services and Workday to streamline processes and improve productivity

• Oversee the management of company funds and accounts, ensuring sufficient funds are available for secure and sustainable operations

• Manage and oversee the grant accounting process ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations

• Utilize ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems for better workflow management

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is necessary

• Demonstrated experience in executing Accounting Functions

• Auditing skills are required

• Understanding of Budget Processes is crucial

• Knowledge of Compliance regulations and practices in the financial sector

• Familiarity with Workday software is beneficial

• Experience in Grant Accounting is an asset
