Johns Hopkins University Data Science Lecturer in Baltimore, Maryland

The Johns Hopkins University's Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics, in collaboration with the Mathematical Institute for Data Sciences, seeks applicants for a lecturer position in Data Science commencing July 1, 2021 on the Homewood campus.

The selected individual will be a member of the faculty in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics, but will mostly be expected to participate in the master's program in Data Science by teaching two courses per semester over a two-semester academic year. The selected individual will also be expected to be involved in the program's academic leadership and in the evaluation of student applications to the program and, and to advise students who are enrolled in the program. Successful candidates must have a strong academic background, with a doctoral degree in one of the following: Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline. They are expected to have a strong commitment to, and excellent credentials in, teaching subjects that are relevant in Statistics and Data Science, including its mathematical foundations.
