State of Massachusetts Licensed Psychologist III in Baldwinville, Massachusetts

The Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services (DDS) would like to announce the availability of a full-time Psychologist III. The Psychologist III works within the Commonwealth Community Services Program in the Central/West Region. The Central/West State Operated Program is the largest state operated residential and habilitative services and supports provider in the Commonwealth and is comprised of over 90 homes that are located throughout the Central West region of Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services (DDS). Candidates with Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst (LABA) accreditation are strongly preferred. _Duties and Responsibilities_/ (these duties are a general summary and not all inclusive)//: / This position has many critical functions vital to ensuring the well-being of the residents we serve including, but not limited to, completing functional behavior assessments (FBA) and interpreting and incorporating assessment results into recommendations to enhance established or newly created behavioral treatment strategies. Incumbents within this role will develop, train, implement and monitor evidence-based behavioral treatment(s) in concert with psychopharmacological and occupational therapeutic interventions. The successful candidate will have a strong background supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Employees within this title must be able to work collaboratively with multiple interdisciplinary teams which include legal guardians and other family members as well as other stake holders and must be able to provide hands-on support, direction, and assessment during periods of crisis as well as providing role modeling and teaching for direct care providers. The selected candidate will honor all DDS regulations which includes embracing Applied Behavioral Analysis as the foundation of a Positive Behavioral Supports (PBS) paradigm as well as to define, codify, direct collection of, and analyze data to improve delivered supports and quality of life for all individuals served. _Please Note:_ This position is located in the Templeton Community Services Program, based out of Baldwinville, MA. This is a full-time, 40 hour a week position, working Monday through Friday on the day shift. Flexibility is required to meet the needs of the program. /Although, this position is based in Baldwinvlle, the homes that are assigned to this position are located throughout Central MA. Minimum Entrance Requirements: Applicants must have a Doctorate in Psychology from a school accredited by the American Psychological Association. See Special Requirements, below. Applicants must have at least one year of full-time, or equivalent part-time, professional experience as a Licensed Psychologist in the application of psychological principles and techniques in a recognized agency providing psychological services or treatment. Special Requirements: Current and valid registration as a Psychologist by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Psychology. Based on assignment, travel may be required. Those employees who elect to use a motor vehicle for travel must have a current and valid Massachusetts Motor Vehicle Operator's license or the equivalent from another state.
