Responsibilities

Reading specifications: Interpreting job specifications to determine material requirements and machine adjustments

Measuring: Using quality inspection tools like calipers and micrometers to measure work piece dimensions

Monitoring: Monitoring machine operation to ensure accuracy throughout the cutting process

Removing imperfections: Removing rust, scale, burrs, or sharp edges from work pieces

Maintenance: Performing minor maintenance on machines, dies, or work pieces, such as oiling

Assisting with setup: Helping equipment operators set up the machine

Prioritizing: Prioritizing workload to meet customer requirements and company goals

Working with production manager: Working directly with the production manager to ensure customer delivery requirements are met

The essential functions of this role include:

• wearing steel toe shoes

• manual lifting up to 50lbs

• working up to 2 hrs of overtime per week

Skills

• measuring (1 year of experience is preferred)

• Math (1 year of experience is preferred)
