Amazon Senior SAP Product Manager, Project Kuiper in Austin, Texas
Description
Have you ever wanted to be part of a team who is building industry changing technology? Amazon’s Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband network connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
In this role you will be a key member of the team creating enterprise applications needed to design, build, and operate the organization’s business services. You will own and operate ERP systems critical to Project Kuiper. Our ideal candidate is highly autonomous, strong knowledge of SAP functional and technical modules, organizational and time management skills and has a successful track record of delivering large-scale engineering projects. The desire and ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative environment is essential.
Key job responsibilities
Lead and create business requirements and accurately translate them into functionality
Functionally architect SAP modules that support both commercial and Government requirements
Clearly articulate benefits in business language
Integrate SAP systems with corporate applications and other related Kuiper systems while ensuring Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) protection
Engage business sponsors and contribute to their targeted business outcomes
Identify solution gaps and develop gap closure options
Present complex information to stakeholders and teams in a clear and appealing manner
Manage ambiguity and create accurate project effort estimates and articulate risks throughout the lifecycle.
Recognize implications of business strategy changes
Provide functional leadership and mentorship to SAP development and support teams
Oversee customization and configuration of SAP applications to meet business needs
Stay abreast of new features and enhancements to optimize utilization of SAP technologies

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or relevant work experience
5+ years of experience as SAP functional architect
6+ years of SAP experience with Delivery of an end-to-end design and implementation as the main focus
3+ years experience in analyzing, creating system specifications, and developing tests and implementing business solutions utilizing SAP technologies
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Computer Science or an Engineering discipline
Experience with SAP manufacturing, Procurement and finance modules
Experience with SAP S/4 HANA with RISE
Comprehensive understanding of custom development approach and integration strategy from both a technical and functional perspective
Experience with SAP security best practices that ensure SAP systems comply with industry regulations and standards
Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex tasks in a dynamic work environment
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Exposure to compliance regulations like FAR, ITAR and Export Compliance is a plus
In-depth functional knowledge across at least 3 SAP modules
Strong understanding of SAP best practices and industry standards

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
