Humana Senior Provider Education Professional (Medicaid) in Austin, Texas

Humana Healthy Horizons is seeking a Senior Medicaid Provider Education Professional who is responsible for provider education materials for Humana's Medicaid segment to drive best in class provider experience. This Professional will maintain the provider material repository for new state contracts, create templates to simplify the implementation process for provider education, and maintain up to date templates.

The Senior Provider Education Professional is an independent contributor who must have strong Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, etc.) skills to create provider materials and templates, as well as interpersonal skills to work across business segments, and must be highly organized to track and oversee all materials from initial drafts to final approved versions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Track all provider documentations for implementations to ensure timelines are met.

  • Draft small to mid-size provider content initiatives for provider material templates including trainings, resource guides, project plans, etc.

  • Maintain up to date templates that are market agnostic and can be customized where necessary based off state, market, or operational business changes.

  • Collaborate across departments to execute provider templates for implementations to meet state contracted requirements to drive best in class provider experience.

  • Meet regularly with business partners across teams to understand their provider template needs to ensure aligned segment strategy and approach.

  • Maintain standardized templates and processes for Medicaid provider educational materials, such as, manuals, orientation, and resource guides.

Required Qualifications

  • Must work hours within the Eastern Standard Time Zone.

  • 3+ years of experience drafting provider content creation for resources, educational material, or trainings.

  • 2+ years of project management experience with mid-size projects.

  • 1+ years of payer contracting experience.

  • 1+ year of Medicaid and health plan operations experience.

  • Template design experience with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office to quickly track, comment, and make corrections on template design changes (Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams).

  • Excellent written and oral communication, as well as interpersonal skills.

  • Exceptional time management and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience operating in a matrixed environment and coordinating across various departments.

Work at Home Requirements

  • At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested.

  • Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership.

  • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.

  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree.

  • Aprimo experience.

  • Experience with Medicaid policies and/or Medicaid health plan operations, such as provider relations, claims submission and payment, utilization management processes, behavioral health processes, and dispute resolution.

Additional Information

  • Travel : Up to 5%, possibly out of your home state.

  • Workstyle: Remote, must work hours within the eastern time zone.

  • Core Workdays & Hours: Typically, 8-5 pm Monday - Friday; Eastern Standard Time (EST).

Interview Format

As part of our hiring process, we will be using an exciting interviewing technology provided by Hire Vue, a third-party vendor. This technology provides our team of recruiters and hiring managers an enhanced method for decision-making.

If you are selected to move forward from your application prescreen, you will receive correspondence inviting you to participate in a pre-recorded Voice Interview and/or an SMS Text Messaging interview. If participating in a pre-recorded interview, you will respond to a set of interview questions via your phone. You should anticipate this interview to take approximately 10-15 minutes.

If participating in a SMS Text interview, you will be asked a series of questions to which you will be using your cell phone or computer to answer the questions provided. Expect this type of interview to last anywhere from 5-10 minutes. Your recorded interview(s) via text and/or pre-recorded voice will be reviewed, and you will subsequently be informed if you will be moving forward to next round of interviews.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$76,800 - $105,800 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
