D.R. Horton, Inc.is currently looking for a_National Training Coordinator Team Lead_. The right candidate will serve as a direct supervisor to National Training Coordinators by providing administrative, technical, and event coordination for onsite, virtual, and on-demand training. Oversee the formatting, posting, distribution and access to curriculum material, training job guides, DHI announcements, and pre- and post-training planning and assessment. Support the National Training Department by establishing best practices for various Learning Management System (LMS) functions and managing LMS vendor escalations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Oversight of National Training Coordinators in their responsibilities for administrative, technical, and event coordination for on-site training programs, live virtual sessions, on-demand courses, and mandatory regulatory training, i.e.: o New Hire Orientation – Live Virtual o DHIM Core & Follow-Ups for Loan Origination and Processing – Live Virtual & On-Demand Series o Mortgage Mastery – On-Site o Mortgage 101 – Live Virtual o Lead Right 1, 2 & 3 o On-Demand Training Projects: DHI REG, DHI CERT, & DHI NOW o Process Change Training – Live Virtual & On-Demand o Software and Technical System Training – Live Virtual & On-Demand o Optional Professional Development Topics – LIVE DHI NOW
  • Participate in interviewing, hiring, initial onboarding, and ongoing human resources oversight of National Training Coordinator teammates
  • Observe, assess, mentor, train, share feedback, and provide annual reviews for National Training Coordinator performance
  • Oversee the utilization of training technology, such as presentation design, voice-over recording, graphics animation, audio and video editing, and Learning Management System (LMS) functionality
  • Manage and/or oversee the organization and trainee access to curriculum, agenda, roster, and other materials needed for training events
  • Execute and/or oversee various event planning duties, such as: arranging catering, pre-training room preparation, setting up coffee, water, and snack stations, setting up lunch, post-training room cleanup, and training supply ordering and maintenance
  • Utilize Office applications, such as MS Office or Adobe Creative Cloud, to develop, edit, send, and track corporate communication, such as announcements and bulletins, sent to the various departments impacted by organizational change
  • Maintain the organization, uploading, versioning, and archiving of Training content housed within the LMS, the DHI HUB (Knowledge Coop), MS Teams groups, Microsoft Stream, and any network drives
  • Oversee the development & setup of live and virtual training lessons, courses, curriculum, assessment, and attendance tracking using the various Learning Management Systems, such as Training Tracker (Absorb LMS), Absorb Create, MS Teams, Zoom, and Survey Monkey, etc.
  • Establish standing meetings and build relationships with various training system vendors to track escalated issues and ensure the department follows the latest best practices. Support trainers is communicating training system changes via Training Technology Release Notes
  • Support training leadership in planning and executing team building events
  • Oversee, assign, and lead project committees
  • Oversee and assign collaboration with other training and departmental teammates
  • Oversee and assign research and testing tasks related to training projects
  • Act as a point of contact and communication channel to the various departments involved with training deliverables
  • Assist with training vendor communication, as assigned
  • Perform special projects as assigned by the National Training Assistant Manager
  • Assist National Training leadership with oversight functions, as assigned
  • Exhibit and oversee the development of professional and leadership skills
  • Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
  • Ability to travel overnight

Education and/or Experience * High school diploma or general education degree (GED) * Three to five years of related mortgage and/or training coordination experience * Ability to manage multiple responsibilities with attention to detail * Ability to commute to the Austin, TX Corporate Office to support onsite training * Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications * Proficiency with MS Office and email * Ability to sit for majority of 8-hour workday; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision * The noise level is generally moderate
