TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION E682 Rail Div. - Railroad Program Coordinator in Austin, Texas

Coordinate agreement execution between TxDOT and affected railroads. This includes construction and maintenance agreements, maintenance consent letters, contractor right of entry agreements and crossing permits issued to railroads. This includes direct communication with affected railroads where you will be the point of contact on behalf of TxDOT. This also includes updating affected divisions including monthly reporting to Design, Construction and other divisions as needed. Other duties include responding to and managing existing agreement records both in hard copy and digital form. This position will also lead the letting team by monitoring the work, following up on project statuses, and working with districts.Working as part of the Rail Highway Section Team, the successful candidate will track and work with affected railroads after other staff have submitted the agreement for execution. This includes providing priority lists to the railroad and updating TxDOT database programs. Upon receipt of the executed agreement, upload the documents to databases and update district, division, and other staff as needed.Work requires extensive contact with governmental officials and railroad companies. Employees at this level are virtually self-supervising and assume direct accountability of the work product.This position can work remotely up to 3 days per week, as the discretion of the Rail Division Director. Essential Duties: Tracking of agreements once submitted by rail division staff Establishes priorities for agreement execution Maintains railroad agreement inventory files in accordance with record retention schedules Provides advice and information on railroad agreements related to department project activities Serves as liaison between districts, division and railroad companies and assists in updating databases Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.
