At the direction of the Director of Constitutional Studies, oversee the coordination of Constitutional Studies programmatic meetings, including the Constitutional Studies Luncheon series, the Colloquium on Comparative Constitutional Law and Politics, national and international conferences, symposiums, and other events hosted by the Constitutional Studies Program both in-person and online. Arrange all logistical needs, including correspondence, IT, audio/visual, room booking and set-up, travel and lodging arrangements and reimbursements, and catering needs. Act as personal contact for visiting dignitaries, scholars, and other invited guests. Collect professional papers for events. Collaborate with Law Communications regarding publicity for Constitutional Studies Program events, arranging for media coverage, preparing Power Point presentations, posters, flyers, and other promotional materials as needed. Maintain conference calendar and update event website.At the direction of the Director of Constitutional Studies, oversee the coordination of academic projects and collaborations, including publications, podcasts, and videos. Communicate by email and telephone with project partners, receive and organize submissions, edit and standardize documents according to formatting specifications, record, edit and upload recordings using basic audio and video editing software.Coordinate assistance for the Constitutional Studies Program faculty, including but not limited to administrative requests, travel arrangements, document preparation and approval, mail retrieval and delivery, and mail/package shipments. Act as liaison between faculty and Texas Law Accounting to coordinate use of faculty development accounts for purchases and hires ensuring compliance with university and department rules and regulations. Act as a liaison between faculty and Texas Law Human Resources to coordinate and oversee the hiring of research assistants. Approve timesheets for student workers assigned to Constitutional Studies Program faculty members.Coordinate creation and preparation of class materials for Constitutional Studies Program faculty. Coordinate the organization and administration of course materials including syllabi, course packets, quizzes, tests, and final exams. Assist with communication with students on a variety of academic needs. Act as liaison between faculty and departmental and university offices; maintain faculty files in compliance with university and department rules and regulations.Oversee Constitutional Studies Program faculty requests for curriculum research, including providing advanced media skills to finalize the resulting materials. Coordinate organization of special lectures for faculty, including creation and preparation of class materials. Prepare and edit manuscripts for publication as needed. Prepare and edit papers for presentations, speeches, and other events. Transcription when required.
