Performs highly advanced server systems work in operational support of TxDOT District/Division information technology systems. Oversees work involving analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or improve existing systems. Provides technical support and advice regarding the development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of projects/programs and/or systems. Works under minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for initiative and independent judgment.Essential Duties:Coordinates the development, implementation, and maintenance of Citrix architecture, processes, policies, standards, procedures, and associated roles and responsibilities.Manages one or more projects and systems involving server development and life cycle.Serves as a lead worker or project leader.Serves as Citrix subject matter expert.Analyzes new or existing procedures, information systems, or programs for efficiency and effectiveness.Monitors and collects information to determine the strengths, weaknesses, and performance issues of existing technology.Designs, builds, tests, implements, and maintains published and ad hoc reports in response to customer change requests.Coordinates, plans, and schedules the installation or training for new or revised systems and defines business process requirements.Oversees and/or prepares and defines the system's goals and devises flow charts and diagrams describing the logical operational steps of programs.Coordinates requests or completes user security changes or additions and facilitates security authorizations for new users.Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.
