2024 Fall START Nurse Residency Program

START Program Overview:

The START Nurse Residency program is the recipient of the Practice Transition Accreditation Program (PTAP) designation from the ANCC. To learn more about the Rush Copley START Nurse Residency program, visit https://www.rushcopley.com/about/nursing-excellence/new-grad/.

Our next START cohort will begin in July 2024 . Application review and interviews will not take place until the week of 5/13/24 .

Position Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with less than 1 year of experience or a recent graduate of an accredited nursing program

  • GPA 3.0 or greater

  • BSN is strongly preferred

  • If hired, we must be able to verify your Illinois RN license at least 2 weeks before the start date.

START Portfolio:

If you are selected as a prospective candidate, a member of the Human Resources department will contact you via email to submit a portfolio for review. The portfolio requirements may include: 500-word essay on why you should be chosen for the START Nurse Residency program, academic credentials/transcripts, and letters of recommendation from clinical instructors. The portfolio due date will be within one week from when you are contacted. ALL portfolios will be due by 5/3/24!
