Shamrock Foods Transportation Compliance Manager in Aurora, Colorado

The Transportation Compliance Manager will identify the Safety and DOT requirements, set clearly defined objectives and targets, and track the success of results. They will work closely with all divisions to effectively identify and manage progress towards achieving the DOT objectives and targets put in place to reduce or control significant identified defects.

Essential Duties:

Works cross-functionally with other branches to address compliance issues and resolve errors in a timely manner.

Establish a consistent approach for managing transportation safety policies.

Provide leadership visibility of safety metrics by building and standardizing transportation safety reporting for the enterprise.

Conduct accurate root-cause analysis to generate prevention strategies and implement preventative and corrective actions.

Coordinate training with different branches to fill in the gaps on areas of opportunity.

Conduct safety audits of facilities to pinpoint unsafe working conditions, practices and develop sound recommendations for corrections. Attend Accident Review Council meetings to review accidents/injuries to determine corrective actions.

Assist in audits performed for customers or by third party auditors

Utilize resources to resolve Safety p roblems by analyzing data, identifying trends and acts on the needs to improve the development and delivery of recognized hazards

Streamline reporting processes, policies, and workflow.

Ensures that Enterprise subject matter experts are kept apprised of all audits, contact by government and regulatory agencies as well as the status of any internal reports.

Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from an accredited college preferred

5+ years related experience or combination of both education and experience

Adobe Acrobat (pdf), Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and other Microsoft Office Suite knowledge

Working knowledge of state and federal guidelines and statutes, as well as other compliance

Must be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department which are subject to evenings, and holidays.

Salary of $75,000 to $90,000 depending on competency, experience, qualifications and skills plus annual bonus potential.
