Job Overview

The Clinical Research Program Lead is responsible for overseeing and coordinating research initiatives and major projects. This role will manage and advance the completion of our clinical research activities as an essential team member. In collaboration with cross-functional teams, the Clinical Research Program Lead will ensure that research initiatives are executed efficiently from inception to completion. The Clinical Research Program Lead is expected to demonstrate an extensive understanding of research operations, procedures, influence, project management and operating independently to enhance the progress of our organization's objective of providing innovative breakthroughs in the field of pediatric healthcare through the demonstration of an extensive understanding of clinical research methodology and project management. The Heart Institute at CHCO has recently been accepted as a core site to the prestigious Pediatric Heart Network (PHN) and gained research funding by the National Institutes of Health through 2031. This designation will require a Program Lead to manage all PHN-led clinical studies and serve on PHN committees. The program lead will ensure the successful conduct and coordination of PHN protocols under the direction of the PIs. The program lead is responsible for the day-to-day management of PHN studies, including maintenance of the Center's PHN and protocol files and ensuring adequate staffing, equipment, and supplies to support the needs of PHN studies implemented at the Clinical Center. The program lead will support staff training systems and establish procedures to facilitate recruitment, to ensure adherence to protocols, and to assure the highest standards of protocol implementation, data collection and reporting. The program lead will have a significant role in determining the feasibility and estimated cost of study protocols at a given center. Department: Research Institute Hours per week: 40, eligible for benefits Shift: Monday - Friday, 8am-4:30pm. Work hours may vary depending on the needs of the department. Some travel might be required to intermittently support the work in the Pediatric Heart Network (PHN) portfolio. *This is a hybrid position. This position is subject to grant funding. Funding has been made available through 01/01/2031 and is contingent upon continued funding.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in a field related to human subject research, biology, or similar discipline. Experience: Four (4) yearsof clinical research experience. Expert knowledge in clinical research operations, regulatory requirements, and ethical consideration in clinical research.
