Position Purpose:

The Strategic Sourcing Lead supports the broader Indirect Procurement team's sourcing optimization requirements. The role will utilize best-in-class eSourcing platforms for scenario modeling to develop, execute, analyze results, and report out recommendations for complex request for proposals (RFP/RFI/RFQ). Candidates will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally with stakeholders, gathering requirements, and create innovative solutions, including Event automation, dashboards, and other value-add activities. This role will support indirect products and services for The Home Depot (Ex. IT Hardware/Software, Transportation, Equipment, Services, Labor, Commodities, Marketing, Supplies, Fixtures/Displays, etc.). The incumbent will support the Managers and Directors in driving results through advanced analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

15% - Communication/Project Control/Project Management/Ad Hoc Reporting: Manage updates to Sourcing Systems and Projects, communications to internal stakeholders and suppliers. Provide support for sourcing events which includes, but not limited to timeline management, analysis, key communications, and RFx development.

60% - RFx Development, Evaluation, and Analysis: Supports the gathering of requirements definitions, market analysis, supports the RFx process, analysis of supplier proposals, develop supplier recommendation and negotiation activities.

20% - Financial/Cost Analysis: Conducts accurate financial analysis of spend details. Assist with the collection, analysis, and total cost ownership analytical activities.

5% - Market Research/Category Management: Completes supply market research and presents learnings from research/analysis. Provides support for ad hoc reporting.

Travel Requirements:

• Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Physical Requirements:

• Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Working Conditions:

• Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be eighteen years of age or older.

• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree preferred

Working knowledge of Coupa Sourcing Optimization (CSO), Jaegger, Keelvar, or other advanced eProcurement optimization tools

Working knowledge of Tableau or other data visualization tools

Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Working knowledge of presentation software (e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint)

Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams

Ability to develop and apply advanced mathematical/statistical techniques

Ability to draw accurate conclusions from financial documentation

Demonstrated project management skills

Ability to negotiate, handle complaints, settle disputes, and resolve grievances with both internal and external customers

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
