Description:

Works closely and under the direction of a licensed provider. Performs basic patient assessment procedures including vital signs, infection disease control and universal precautions. Performs interpretation for clients and staff as applicable. Monitor and order medical supplies and materials under the guidance of the Nurse Practitioner and/or Clinic Manager. Performs EKG with the guidance of a licensed Medical Provider. Performs light administrative duties, such as copying and filing. Participates in health fairs or community events on weekends as requested 3-4 times a year. Provides patient care and/or support activities appropriate to ages served; primarily adults ages 18-65 or geriatric patients over age 65. May also include care for infant 0–1-year, child ages 1-12 years or adolescent ages 13-17 years.
