Our Senior Manager, Technical Accounting will play a critical role in assessing complex technical accounting and reporting matters, developing and communicating global accounting policies, and driving an effective and efficient internal control framework.

Responsibilities You Will. . . Research, evaluate, and communicate the accounting treatment for complex accounting topics and non-routine business transactions Evaluate and drive the application of new accounting literature and SEC regulations, including ESG reporting Drive the implementation of enhanced analytics on financial results to enable our brands to provide more data driven insights as we modernize financial analysis and the internal control framework Manage and take initiative to enhance global accounting policies in accordance with US GAAP and ensure they are appropriate to support the business Enable consistent application of global accounting policies through active communication and engagement with our family of brands Own the internal control environment through the rationalization of control activities, scoping of our businesses on a global level, assessment and remediation of control deficiencies, and regular communication with control owners Assist in integration and policy alignment for new acquisitions Coordinate with auditors to plan for quarterly reviews and annual audit and take the lead on technical accounting topics and internal controls Be a trusted business partner and advisor to various stakeholders within operations, accounting, finance, legal, and other functional teams Whats Next: The Senior Manager, Technical Accounting role could have opportunities to move up within External Reporting, move to an Operational Accounting role, and/or move into the Finance Organization within Orkin or other Brands.

Qualifications The Experience You Will Bring (Minimum Requirements): BS/BA/MS degree in accounting or related field At least 5-9 years of progressive accounting experience including public accounting experience CPA license required Strong technical accounting background with a knowledge of US GAAP, SOX 404, and SEC reporting stan ards as well as experience with technical research Ability to listen to the needs of stakeholders, articulate issues in a clear and simplified manner, present findings Strong analytical and judgement skills Ability to successfully handle multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively operate in a deadline driven environment Ability to develop skills in team members and build relationships with leaders and peers Understanding of COSO internal control framework to assess control design and operational effectiveness What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities): Big 4 experience and some corporate experience preferred Experience managing internal controls framework, technical accounting, or accounting policies at a large, multi-national company Ability to function as a positive agent of change, to take charge, and to influence others Experience using data analysis and visualization tools (e.g. Alteryx, Power BI) Physical Demands / Working Environment: We require the ability to pass a drug screen and background checks.
