Position Summary

  • Coordinates and participates in a variety of duties to assist investigators in data collection, verification, and compilation of research information related to various fields of research which may include behavioral, community based and/or clinical research as requested.

  • Assists in planning and conducting research studies.

  • May assist in recruiting and screening research subjects for various studies.

  • Conducts sample handling and data collection.

  • Under general supervision, performs a variety of defined research and laboratory tests and experiments according to prescribed protocols and assigned schedules. Sets up experiments as prescribed by a principal investigator.

  • May be responsible for maintaining laboratory equipment and inventory.

  • Assists in the development and formulation of project reports, studies and other technical documentation.

  • Composes correspondence, instructional material, reports, and other confidential material.

  • Manages and monitors data, and reconciles data discrepancies for quality assurance of the research project/study.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of basic laboratory techniques.

  • Skill in quantitative analysis and biostatistics, use of computerized spreadsheets, statistical packages and interpretation of data.

  • Ability to research and provide reports of related studies and findings.

  • Skill in communicating both orally and in writing.

  • Ability to learn to operate and maintain sophisticated equipment.

  • Ability to research and provide reports of related studies and findings.

    Minimum Qualifications

Immunization Requirements

It is MSM’s Immunization policy that all Prospective Employees are required to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID -19 prior to commencement of employment. If employment will commence during Flu Season, MSM requires all individuals to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless granted an exemption. Failure to provide proof of vaccination for any required vaccines or obtain an exemption from MSM will result in rescission of a candidate’s offer of employment or disciplinary action up to and including termination.
