Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists in coordinating routine activities associated with a research project to include data maintenance, grant expenditure adherence, project evaluation, meeting scheduling, research subject interfacing, light clerical duties and control of equipment and supplies.

  • May review literature for related research developments and techniques, compile findings and generate reports.

  • May serve as project liaison to other departments, outside organizations, government agencies and product representatives.

  • May supervise other staff.

  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS:

  • Assists in managing databases including data collection, coding, analysis and storage.

  • Ensures project is administered according to research protocol.

  • May assist in recruiting and interviewing patients/subjects, developing and conducting tests and surveys, gathering or abstracting data or making presentations.

  • May conduct literature searches and assist with publications.

  • May supervise staff by orienting, training and giving them ongoing performance feedback.

  • Assists in coordinating routine activities associated with community-engaged environmental health projects in the Gangarosa Department of Environmental Health.

  • Assists in the coordination of research project activities including development and review of standard operating procedures and other documents for data collection, meeting coordination, and data management and statistical analysis.

  • Serves as a point of contact for community partner sites and work closely with community partners.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a science discipline, business management, or related field OR equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.

An approved CAS Exception is required for anyone who is charged to a federal grant or contract under this job code.

NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
