Emory Healthcare/Emory University Postdoctoral Fellowship in Atlanta, Georgia

The Institute of African Studies at Emory University (Atlanta, GA) invites applications for a postdoctoral teaching fellowship to begin August 2024. We are seeking a recent PhD in African Studies from any discipline in the humanities and social sciences.

The postdoctoral fellow will teach four courses in the first year, including Introduction to African Studies. The position is renewable for a second year.

Application Instructions

Applications should include a cover letter, cv, a sample syllabus for a course in African Studies, and the names of two references. Candidates’ cover letters should include a discussion of their experience and vision regarding the teaching and mentorship of students from diverse backgrounds and, in particular, their engagement with African students.
