Join Mercy Care Atlanta as a a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner!

Position Purpose: As a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at Mercy Care Atlanta, you will deliver primary care services to our pediatric population under medical protocol. Your role involves examining patients, making diagnoses, dispensing medication, and facilitating referrals as necessary.

What You Will Do:

  • Provide direct, pediatric patient care in an outpatient setting with opportunities to engage in population health management and quality/safety activities.

  • Instructs patient/family regarding medications and treatments. Educates patients regarding health promotion/illness prevention. Recommends appropriate community resources to meet patient/family needs.

  • Coordinate care with other healthcare and social services professionals.

  • Consult with the medical director as needed and adhere to prescribed medical protocols.

  • Answer emergency telephone calls after hours and weekends on a rotating schedule.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an NLN approved MSN Nurse Practitioner program in Pediatrics.

  • Certification as a Nurse Practitioner OR graduation from a certified Nurse Practitioner program with three years of NP experience.

  • Georgia RN license required.

  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish strongly preferred.
